Integrated Pest Management
Toronto Pest Management utilizes a eight step methodology in the control of pests. We use the least invasive and methods and techniques to provide a comprehensive service minimizing the effects on our environment We choose the right pesticide for the job that is least toxic to the environment. We apply pesticides in a responsible way with full disclosure to our clients on the toxicity and the effects. We use green methods in preference while still obtaining the same successful results required. Some of our techniques in this area include, modification of storage to make rats uncomfortable, use of behaviour modification to discourage mating of cockroaches, phoneme lures to determine insect populations, non-injurious eviction of raccoons, squirrels and birds. Understanding the biology of the pest or wildlife target is key to long term success. Some of the results are that our techniques ensure that young animals are not abandoned by their mother, that insects don't just leave for a brief time only to return, that birds will choose different landing/nesting sites on their own in the future to name a few.
